Job Summary
Ultrasonographer Echo position in Norfolk, Virginia. This role involves performing various modalities of cardiac ultrasound, including transthoracic echo, stress echo, and assistance in transesophageal echo. The sonographer will also conduct noninvasive testing such as electrocardiograms and Holter monitor applications, with responsibilities including report preparation, billing procedures, and study transmittal for satellite sites.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days, 8 hours shifts, 40 hours per week, with coverage for holidays, weekends, and on-call duties.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in one of the following: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS-PE) from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Certification Council of Licensure & Certification (CCI); minimum of 8 years of experience; high school diploma or equivalent; current certifications as listed; ability to work in Norfolk, VA.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in pediatric echocardiography (peds echo) and performing multiple cardiac ultrasound modalities.
- Additional Information: The role requires on-call availability, which will be discussed during the interview. The sonographer will perform clinical duties at the specified location, with responsibilities including patient preparation, report creation, and satellite site coverage.
