Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer Echo specializing in pediatric echocardiography in an urban setting. This role involves performing echocardiographic studies across a broad spectrum of diagnoses in fetal, pediatric, and adult congenital heart disease. The position covers NICU, PICU, and Cardiac Intensive Care Units, with responsibilities including recognizing emergent situations, communicating with cardiologists, equipment maintenance, and procedure logging. Requires flexibility to work days, every other weekend, and on-call shifts.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience in pediatric sonography, proficiency with ECMO procedures, knowledge of congenital and complex non-congenital heart diseases, BLS certification, and ARDMS registration in Pediatric Echocardiography. Fetal Echo experience encouraged; adult echo experience a plus.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Registry in Pediatric Echocardiography, fetal echo expertise, adult echo familiarity.
  • Additional Information: Performs echocardiographic studies in fetal congenital (22+ weeks), pediatric heart disease, and adult congenital cases. Coverage includes NICU, PICU, and Cardiac ICU. Recognizes and triages emergent situations, provides written communication to cardiologists, maintains equipment, and logs/bills procedures using Epic and PACS Fuji CV Synapse systems. Orientation period of 1-2 weeks, scrubs in Caribbean Blue. No guaranteed hours with cancellation policy allowing up to 2 shifts per 12 weeks or 3 shifts per 13 weeks without penalty.
