Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist, Reg, 0-2 yrs - Contract
Job Summary:
The Ultrasound Technologist performs or assists in ultrasound examinations, renders technical assistance to the Radiologist, and maintains and cares for all ultrasound equipment. This role involves preparing and examining patients, operating and adjusting ultrasound equipment, analyzing sonographic findings, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment. The technologist also communicates effectively with patients and healthcare providers, records diagnostic images, and assists in mentoring new personnel.
Required Qualifications:
• Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
• High school graduate
• 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)
• Knowledge of office and administrative practices
• Skill in the use of personal computers and software
• Ability to problem solve and make decisions
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience mentoring new personnel
• Familiarity with ACR protocols and guidelines
Additional Information:
• The role involves ensuring adequate supplies are available and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• May include answering telephones, scheduling examinations, and initiating transportation.
