Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer Echo in New Jersey. This position involves preparing adult patients for echocardiography procedures with a focus on patient comfort and satisfaction. The role requires performing high-quality echocardiography studies in an inpatient hospital setting, with an emphasis on acute care environments. The Ultrasonographer will review prior reports and images, ensure proper image acquisition, and maintain accurate records and logs.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Either Sun-Thurs 10:30 AM - 6:30 PM or Tues-Sat 10:30 AM - 6:30 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; Registered Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from American Heart Association (AHA); a minimum of two years of echocardiography experience; experience documented by institutional referral with a minimum of 200 inpatient cases in echocardiography; proficiency in valvular assessment with spectral Doppler and Pedoff skills; experience with contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies; ability to work independently, recognize abnormalities, and respond quickly to critical findings.
- Preferred Qualifications: TEE and Stress Echo experience; familiarity with 3D echo imaging; experience with TAVR, Mitral Clip, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, VAD, and closure device protocols; maintaining ICAEL-accredited echo lab standards; experience using Philips ie33 and Epiq systems; familiarity with Epic hospital information system.
- Additional Information: Candidates should have strong inpatient echocardiography experience, specifically in acute care settings, and the ability to perform studies under inpatient conditions. Experience across multiple ultrasound modalities is not prioritized; primary focus must be on echocardiography.
