Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer Echo (Cardiac Sonographer) position located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This role involves performing comprehensive echocardiography studies, including stress echocardiography and TEE, in a busy academic medical center. The position supports the diagnosis and management of patients with heart failure and other cardiac conditions, with a focus on advanced cardiac imaging.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Evenings shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech). Certifications include BLS, RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS or ACS (Advanced Cardiac Sonographer through CCI). Valid license and national certification required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: PALS and ACLS certifications are preferred. Skills in 2D, Doppler, color flow, 3D, strain, and contrast studies are required. Stress echo skills and interventional procedures are highly preferred. IV management training is a plus.
  • Position Specifics: Role involves performing TTE, stress echo, Dobutamine stress echo, TEE, and other advanced cardiac imaging procedures. The department features a dedicated echocardiography educator and a team of experienced professionals, supporting a fast-paced, patient-focused environment within an academic setting.
  • Support and Equipment: Department utilizes Philips and GE ultrasound systems, with electronic medical records managed via EPIC - Encompass. Satellite sites within the Wake region are managed as part of the department's operations. Orientation includes 2 days of facility and departmental training.
