This information enables the physician to provide accurate diagnoses. Provides immediate feedback with preliminary reports of critical results to nurses and physicians, which is vital for life-saving treatment interventions. Assists the physician with studies and aids them in complex procedures, decreasing potential procedural risks. Procedures include TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement), SAVR (Surgical Aortic Valve Replacement), Tandem heart, Lariet procedures, and pseudoaneurysm compression. Demonstrates correct technique, efficiency, and judgment in performing advanced cardiac and/or peripheral vascular procedures. Performs adult and/or pediatric cardiac ultrasound procedures, including TEE and stress echo and/or can perform peripheral vascular procedures such as arterial, renal, and transcranial Doppler. Reviews pertinent patient data and reports before procedures. Operates necessary equipment to obtain optimal diagnostic recordings. Utilizes ancillary devices, including selected transducers and digital networking systems. Exercises appropriate judgment when notifying the reading physician of abnormal results, and evaluating findings reported to the cardiologist. Maintains proper documentation of data according to departmental and hospital policies. Accurately documents all procedures in the departmental tracking process. Processes charging and other necessary data efficiently and accurately. Collaborates in maintaining departmental efficiency and anticipates needs in equipment and supplies. Supports unit and hospital goals through quality assurance and educational activities. Maintains current competency and registry in the two specialty practices.
