The technologist will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed. The role includes facilitating smooth and efficient patient flow. The Ultrasound Technologist must be able to handle the movement, set-up, and operation of medical ultrasound equipment. Flexibility to work other shifts and locations as needed is essential. The technologist will troubleshoot basic maintenance and participate in quality assurance. Responsibilities include resolving issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. Ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within the scope of licensure are expected. Maintaining expected imaging competencies as outlined by management is required. Behavior and communication skills should align with the organization’s mission, values, and culture. The technologist must adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate the unique needs of each patient served. Compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care is mandatory. The technologist will perform examinations and procedures as needed to assist in patient throughput. Flexibility to work other shifts and campuses as required is necessary. Ensuring completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in the archiving system is critical. The ability to follow downtime procedures and escalate problems is required. Troubleshooting and reporting any equipment malfunctions is essential. Other duties as assigned may be required.
