Description
Job Title: Echo/Vascular Sonographer
Profession: Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer
Specialty: Radiology
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday-Thursday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
Hours per Shift: 8 hours (30 min lunch on weekdays)
Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical experience required
License: Must be registered or registry eligible as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer and Registered Vascular Technologist or as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer and Registered Vascular Sonographer.
Certifications: BLS certification required, must be through the American Heart Association.
Must-Have: Experience as Echo tech is preferred.
Description:
The Echo/Vascular sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound and related testing on patients with suspected disorders of the cardiovascular system.
These tests include echocardiography, EKG, carotid duplex scanning, and noninvasive peripheral vascular studies.
Sonographers must complete the necessary registry within one year of employment.
Candidates should have experience in a community hospital setting, either in a permanent or contract role.
