Description:
The Registered Ultrasound Technologist is responsible and accountable for providing quality imaging of patients.
This imaging aids in the diagnosis and continuum of care for patients.
The technologist will assist the Radiologist with exams.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
The role involves solving problems and making decisions.
Candidates should have the ability to stand and walk, bend, squat, twist, and occasionally lift, push, and pull up to 100 pounds with proper body mechanics.
The technologist will spend eight hours or more performing Sonography exams in various settings such as the department, surgery, emergency department, and patient floors.
A keen sense of hearing and visual acuity is required.
The candidate must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.
This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with relevant regulations.
The Ultrasound Technologist will be required to respond to on-call rotation within 30 minutes.
The position operates in a hospital setting which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
