The average number of scans or studies performed per day ranges from 8 to 16. The department uses Cerner for electronic medical records and Picture Archive & Communication System. Specific equipment used includes Phillips EPIQ. There is a supervisor or lead technician overseeing the department. No registered radiology assistants are utilized in the department. Radiologists are available in-house. Starting IVs is not a requirement. Weekend shifts are sometimes required. Holiday requirements involve rotation. Call or standby requirements are in place. Scrubs are not currently provided. The department has a cancellation policy of 4 shifts per contract or 3 shifts if the contract is under 13 weeks.
