Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer General in a radiology department. This position involves performing general ultrasound examinations on adult and pediatric patients, including biopsies. The role requires certification and experience in ultrasound technology, with responsibility for both day shifts and on-call rotations during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, with on-call responsibilities including one weekday night per week and every fourth weekend.
  • Required Qualifications: Ultrasound certification and ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) credentials are required. A minimum of 2 years of ultrasound experience is preferred. Candidates must possess a valid drivers license, and artificial nails are prohibited.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Siemens radiology equipment, EMR system EPIC, and PACS McKesson.
  • Responsibility Details: Perform general ultrasound exams for adult and pediatric patients, including biopsies. Operate Siemens ultrasound equipment and ensure proper charting in EMR and PACS systems.
  • On-Call/Rotation: 8, 9-hour shifts per week, including on-call coverage for weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • Additional Information: A one-week department-specific orientation scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. RTO (Request for Time Off) must be submitted upfront, with no additional RTO approvals after submission. The department has two ultrasound scanners; no vascular or echocardiography exams are performed.
