**Join Our Dynamic Trauma Stepdown Team!** **Job Description:** - **Unit:** Surgical Trauma Stepdown (63610) - **Location:** Medical City Denton - **Shift:** 7 PM - 7 AM **Unit Overview:** - Number of Beds: 25 - Team Size: 44 FTEs (57 headcount) - Patient Ratios: 1:4 (1:5 maximum for stepdown) **Staffing Breakdown:** - **Day Shift:** 1 Charge RN, 6 RNs, 3 Techs, 1 Secretary - **Night Shift:** 1 Charge RN, 6 RNs, 3 Techs **Essential Qualifications:** - **Must-Have Skills:** - Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications - Excellent customer service skills - **Preferred Experience:** - Background in Trauma/Orthopedic care - Familiarity with Meditech EMR **Typical Procedures:** - Caring for patients post acute surgical interventions: - Trauma, Bariatric, Vascular, and General Surgery - Neurosurgery, Orthopedic surgery, GI procedures - Managing patients with neurological diagnoses and critical conditions - Administering IV fluids and medication management for: - Cardiac issues, Respiratory distress, and more - Monitoring and stabilizing patients with complicated medical histories - Collaborating with a skilled team in a supportive environment **Best Personality Fit:** - Team player - Adaptable to a fast-paced, changing environment - Strong communication skills **Unit Policies:** - Vital signs every 4 hours - Continuous telemetry monitoring - Comprehensive patient assessments every 4 hours **Additional Highlights:** - Level 2 trauma center - High volume of inpatients from the ED - Opportunities for growth and skill enhancement within a dynamic team **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
