Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Trauma Progressive Care Unit role requiring 2+ years of PCU experience and a FL or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 40-bed Trauma PCU with a 4:1 patient ratio
• 12-hour day shifts, three shifts per week
• Uses Epic EMR
• Floating required, with travelers prioritized to float first, including to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the facility
• No on-call requirements
• No block scheduling permitted

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
• Nursing school accreditation documentation required on profile, or 5 years of experience in lieu of accreditation documentation
• Driver's license address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing

• Function as core staff within a unit that highly values teamwork and culture
• Travelers are expected to be flexible and willing to float to other units or campuses
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel assignment, with strict enforcement of this radius rule
• Candidates may not own or cosign property within the 50-mile radius
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront, as RTO will not be approved after submission
• Orientation begins on a Friday, including remote orientation and an in-person visit for badge and ID
• Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to the start date with no exceptions for pending documentation
• Prior travel experience preferred, but first-time travelers may be considered
