Job Summary
An ICU Trauma nurse is needed at a Level 1 Trauma center for a long-term contract starting September 21, 2026, in the intensive care unit specializing in trauma cases. This role involves providing critical patient care for individuals with severe injuries such as motor vehicle collisions, gunshot wounds, stabbings, and other trauma-related conditions in a high-acuity environment.

Job Details

  • Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Experience: Valid nursing license, drivers license or state ID, Ascension profile, two professional references, and relevant nursing resume. Minimum of 1 year of experience as an ICU Trauma nurse.
  • Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Responsibilities include managing patients with complex trauma injuries, performing advanced procedures such as craniotomies, aneurysm ruptures, EVDs, and lumbar drains, and working within a standard ratio of 2:1 in a Level 1 Trauma center.
  • The unit operates every other weekend and may require holiday coverage, with sunrise charting system utilized.
