Job Title: Telemetry Technician
Location: Long Island City, New York 11102

Job Duration: 9 Weeks
Shift: 5x8-Hour Night Shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 40 Hours
Guaranteed Hours: Dependent on facility requirements

Job Summary:
Provide advanced ECG monitoring while assessing patient status through ECG strip analysis and arrhythmia interpretation. Identify and respond to life-threatening rhythm changes, initiate codes, record rhythms during codes, perform continuous EKG monitoring, troubleshoot monitoring issues, and respond appropriately to monitor alarms.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform electrocardiograms in multiple settings with proper electrode placement
• Communicate clearly with nurses, co-workers, and physicians
• Enter and verify orders in the system
• Retrieve lab results and report to the charge nurse
• Ensure documentation meets organizational standards
• Operate monitoring and medical equipment safely and accurately

Requirements:

• Experience as a Telemetry Technician or Monitor Tech required
• Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross)
• Dysrhythmia Course (required)
• EKG certification (preferred)

Shift Details:

• 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 5 days per week
• Weekend shifts may be required

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
