Description

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN for a 13-week night shift contract requiring stroke/neuro experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

  • Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 13-week contract
  • Weekend requirement: every other weekend
  • Holiday coverage as needed
  • Floating required, prioritized for float assignments to similar units within the NorthShore system
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license required; temporary IL license accepted if permanent license application is in process with submission receipt provided
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart or American Red Cross accepted)
  • Current NIHSS certification
  • 2 years of stroke/neuro experience required
  • Travel experience required; new grads not accepted
  • Must pass EKG test with 80% or higher score prior to consideration, plus a pass/fail on-site EKG test on day one of orientation
  • Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in employment history
  • Two current professional references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge in the relevant specialty area within the last year; at least one travel reference preferred

Additional Information

  • Provide telemetry nursing care within a stroke/neuro focused patient population
  • Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
  • Returning permanent or per diem staff must have a 12-month break in service before being considered as a traveler
  • RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days for 13-week contracts
  • Orientation begins every Monday with 16 hours of non-billable orientation time
