Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN Telemetry professional for a Pulmonary/Thoracic unit position requiring 18 months of experience and a GA or compact RN license.

Details

  • Work in the Pulmonary/Thoracic unit of a hospital environment
  • Night shift schedule with 3x12hr shifts totaling 36 hrs/week
  • 30-minute meal break included per shift
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Uses Epic EMR system
  • Performs telemetry interpretation for assigned patients

Requirements

  • Active RN license (GA state or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS
  • Minimum of 18 months of RN experience required
  • Strong ventilator experience required
  • Experience with trach and chest tube management required
  • Prior travel nursing experience preferred
  • Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Provide telemetry-based nursing care to pulmonary and thoracic patients
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility as local candidates are not accepted
  • Former Emory or Houston system employees must be separated for at least 1 year before returning, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
  • RTO requests are limited to 5 days if not near a holiday, or 3 days if requested on or near a holiday, with only 1 holiday request allowed per assignment
  • Holiday RTO days must be spread out rather than consecutive
  • Candidates should not carry more than 5 days of RTO requests to avoid assignment denial
