Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Telemetry for a Pulmonary/Thoracic unit position requiring strong ventilator experience and a GA or compact RN license.

Details

  • Work in the Pulmonary/Thoracic unit of a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • Requires tele interpretation skills

Requirements

  • Active GA or compact RN license required in hand
  • Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
  • Minimum 18 months of recent RN experience required
  • Strong ventilator experience required
  • Experience with trach and chest tube care required
  • Prior travel nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Provide telemetry monitoring and interpretation for pulmonary and thoracic patients
  • Perform trach care and chest tube management as part of daily duties
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
  • Former Emory or Houston system employees must have been separated for at least 1 year, or 18 months if returning to the same facility, prior to reapplying
  • RTO is limited to a maximum of 5 days if not near a holiday, or 3 days if requested on or near a holiday, with only one holiday request allowed
  • First-time travelers may be considered for this role
