Description
American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of telemetry experience, ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications, and an active PA or Compact RN license.
Details
- Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
- Floating within the hospital required, with potential float to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius
- Required to work every other holiday
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active PA or Compact RN license required
- Current AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Driver's license required for consideration
- SSN, DOB, and RTO information required for consideration
- Two supervisor references preferred
Additional Information
- Care for cardiac telemetry, MS/Tele, and ER holding patients
- Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration
- Perform respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and tracheostomy management
- Provide IV therapy, central/PICC line care, and blood product administration
- Monitor for dysrhythmias and respond to rapid response/code situations
- Manage renal, neurological, and GI patient needs including CVA, post-TPA, and feeding tube care
- Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Former permanent employees must have been separated for at least 2 years to apply through an agency
- Travelers are limited to one cumulative year within the health system before requiring a two-year break
- Travel pairs may be accommodated based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed
