Travel Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois, in hand before the assignment begins
• At least 1 year of recent telemetry, cardiac, pulmonary, or comparable acute-care nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Ability to work night shifts, including every other weekend
• Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult patients on a Cardiac/Pulmonary telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, oxygenation, and other clinical indicators
• Recognize and promptly respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Coordinate patient care with providers, nurses, technicians, patients, and families
• Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care plans in accordance with clinical standards
• Support safe patient transitions, patient education, and discharge planning
• Maintain a collaborative practice environment with support from unit technicians
