Description

American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN - Telemetry with 2+ years of acute care experience for a Med-Surg Tele unit requiring an IN or compact RN license.

Details

  • 3SE Med-Surg Tele unit with 24 beds
  • Patient ratio of 6:1
  • Mixed diagnosis patient population
  • RN reads telemetry but does not perform titration
  • Equipment used includes IV/PCA pumps, wound vac, and glucometer
  • Skills needed include trach care, feeding tubes, CPAP, wound vac, and dialysis assessment
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • Night shift, 6:45pm-7:15am
  • Works 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
  • Every other weekend required
  • Support from a CRN, discharge nurse, and weekday pharmacists

Requirements

  • Active IN or compact RN license required
  • BLS and NIHSS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient RN experience required
  • Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
  • Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

  • Perform patient assessments, care planning, and implementation of individualized treatment plans
  • Coordinate patient and family education throughout stay and at discharge
  • Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff while mentoring and precepting team members
  • Participate in quality, safety, and service process improvement initiatives
  • No local rate drop applies for this position
