Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN requiring IN or compact license, two years acute care RN experience, and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • Work on a 24-bed Med-Surg Telemetry unit
  • Patient ratio of 6:1 with mixed diagnoses
  • RN reads telemetry but does not titrate medications
  • Uses IV/PCA pumps, wound vacs, and glucometers
  • Cares for patients requiring trach, feeding tube, CPAP, wound vac, and dialysis assessment support
  • Day shift schedule 6:45a-7:15p, three days per week
  • Required to work every other weekend
  • Unit supported by a CRN, discharge nurse, and weekday pharmacists
  • Documents in Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Active IN or compact RN license required
  • BLS and NIHSS certification required
  • Minimum two years of acute care inpatient RN experience required
  • Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
  • Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

  • Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Provides patient and family education throughout stay and at discharge
  • Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and may mentor or precept
  • Participates in quality, safety, and process improvement efforts
  • No local rate drop applies to this position
