Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Telemetry for a combined Med Surg/Tele/PCU unit requiring NH or compact licensure and 3+ years of relevant experience.

Details

  • Combined Med Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment requiring comfort across all three specialties
  • 25-bed general medical and surgical hospital setting with a 24/7 emergency department
  • Patient population ranges from newborn to geriatric
  • RN to patient ratio of 5:1 depending on acuity, with higher acuity PCU patients at 3:1 or 4:1
  • 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend required, plus holidays as needed
  • Call possible during periods of low census
  • Medhost EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Active NH or Compact RN license required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in PCU, Med/Surg, and Telemetry
  • Medhost EMR experience required
  • Basic dysrhythmia test required in profile
  • Rural or small facility experience highly preferred
  • Previous travel experience highly preferred
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal orientation

Additional Information

  • Small, rural unit requiring the ability to hit the ground running with minimal support
  • Personal scrubs of any color permitted
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
  • Up to 5 days of requested time off may be approved for this 13-week assignment, and must be submitted at time of profile upload
  • No non-billable orientation provided
  • First-time travelers may be considered if experience requirements are met
