Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring telemetry patient care experience and a compact or LA RN license.

Details

  • Work on a 31-bed Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit (6A)
  • Care for patients at a 6:1 ratio
  • Night shift schedule, 7p-7a
  • 13-week assignment
  • Uses telemetry monitoring, IV infusion pumps, bladder scanners, EKGs, enteral feeding pumps, BiPAPs, Vapotherm, wound vacs, PCA pumps, and trapeze equipment
  • Meditech EMR experience preferred
  • May float to other Medical-Surgical units based on staffing and patient care needs

Requirements

  • Active RN license (LA or compact) required
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience required
  • Telemetry patient care experience required
  • Experience managing patients with multiple chronic conditions required
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills required
  • Telemetry, oncology/chemotherapy administration, and Meditech experience preferred
  • US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
  • One professional reference required
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Perform dressing changes, wound care, wound vac changes, blood administration, and port access as part of daily duties
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
  • Scrub color for nurses is royal blue
  • Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates will be considered
  • First-time travelers may be considered
