Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Telemetry night-shift position combining Med-Surg, Telemetry, and PCU care at a small rural hospital.

Details

• Combined MS, Telemetry, and PCU unit requiring comfort working across all three specialties
• Patient population ranges from newborn to geriatric
• RN-to-patient ratio of 5:1, with higher acuity PCU patients at 3:1 or 4:1 depending on shift and acuity
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage as needed
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Minimum 3 years of experience in PCU, Med/Surg, and Telemetry required
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia experience required
• Rural or small facility experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Must be able to work independently and adapt quickly to unit workflow
• Skills checklists for Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and Progressive Care Unit required, current within 1 year
• One supervisory reference required from within the past two years of employment

Additional Information

• Personal scrubs of any color permitted
• Must be able to work two required holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
• No more than 5 days of requested time off approved for the 13-week assignment, and all RTO must be submitted prior to offer
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• Must have personal vehicle for transportation to and from assignment
• First-time travelers may be considered if experience requirements are met
