Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN requiring KY or compact RN license, 2 years acute inpatient tele experience, and Epic experience.

Details

  • Med-Surg/Tele/Ortho unit with 24 beds
  • Patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1 with mixed diagnoses
  • Uses Epic EMR and Galaxy Blue systems
  • RN must read telemetry and titrate heparin
  • Day shift schedule from 6:45a-7:15p
  • Works every other weekend per unit need
  • 36 hours per week across 3 twelve-hour shifts

Requirements

  • Active KY or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years acute inpatient telemetry RN experience required
  • Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Skilled in IV therapy, CPAP, trach care, wound vac, PCA, dialysis fistula care, central line care, and feeding tubes

  • Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Provides patient and family education throughout stay and at discharge
  • Mentors and precepts staff while fostering strong teamwork
