Unit: 7N Cardiac Telemetry
Location: Independence, Missouri
Address: 19600 E. 39th Street, Main Hospital, 7th Floor
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 12-Hour Days
Contract: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
 

Unit Details

• Unit: 7N Cardiac Telemetry
• Beds: 36
• Patient Ratio: 4–5:1
• EMR: Meditech
• Equipment: Pyxis, Alaris pumps, Welch Allyn vital-sign machines

‍⚕️ Staffing

Day Shift:

• 1 Charge RN
• 9 RN/LPN
• 3 PCT

Night Shift:

• 1 Charge RN
• 8 RN/LPN
• 3 PCT

✅ Must-Have Requirements

• ACLS required
• Experience recovering post-cath patients
  • Sheath removal is not required
• Experience with pacemaker placement patients
• Experience caring for stroke patients
• Experience managing:
  • Amiodarone drips
  • Cardizem drips

• NIHSS

Floating

May float to:

• Other telemetry departments
• Med-Surg
• PCU

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 hours/week guaranteed
• 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Day shift weekend requirement: Saturday & Sunday
• No specific on-call requirement mentioned

Dress Code

• Gray scrubs for RNs

Ideal Candidate

• Fast-paced and high-energy
• Strong teamwork skills
• Comfortable managing cardiac and telemetry patients
• Experienced with cardiac drips and post-procedure patients

Submission Must-Haves

ACLS + post-cath recovery experience + pacemaker experience + stroke experience + Amiodarone/Cardizem drip experience.

NIHSS is preferred but not listed as mandatory.
