GLC On-The-Go is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Thousand Oaks, California.
Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN specializing in Telemetry in Thousand Oaks, CA. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on providing exceptional care to cardiac and neuro patients. As a Telemetry RN, you will be part of a dedicated team that values communication, dependability, and quick learning.
Unit Information: The Telemetry Unit currently has 30 beds, with plans to open an additional 12 for overflow. The unit is staffed by 50 core RNs, with a patient ratio of 4:1. You will be equipped with Tele boxes, Welch Allen vital sign machines, and Alaris IV pumps, and will utilize the Meditech EMR system.
Typical Responsibilities: As a Telemetry RN, you will receive patients after procedures such as heart catheterization, pacemaker insertion, ablation, watchman procedures, valve repair, and cardioversion. Your skills in EKG interpretation, IV starts, and chest tube management are essential for this role.
Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH.
Schedule: Expect to work 3-4 weekend shifts per month, with no on-call requirements.
Dress Code: Scrub color is variable, and visible piercings are not permitted.
