Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry RN for a night shift position requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

  • Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
  • Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:30)
  • Cerner charting system experience preferred
  • Required to float within the hospital, including to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
  • Must be willing to work every other holiday

Requirements

  • Active PA or Compact RN license required
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
  • Prior charge nurse experience preferred
  • Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response
  • Experience with central/peripheral line care, IV therapy, and blood product administration preferred
  • Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube, and tracheostomy management preferred
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address
  • Local candidates are not accepted
  • Travel pairs may be accommodated based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed
  • Former permanent employees must have been separated for at least 2 years to be eligible
  • Travelers are limited to one year of cumulative assignments within the health system, followed by a mandatory two-year break before returning
