Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN with a CA license and at least one year of recent telemetry experience for a night shift assignment.

Details

  • Work in the Telemetry/PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown unit of a hospital
  • Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • Use of Rapid Response/Code teams as needed
  • Performs IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central and peripheral line care/management
  • Manages cardiac drips without titration
  • Administers oxygen and nasal cannula and performs non-invasive airway management
  • Follows isolation precautions and PPE protocols
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
  • 13-week assignment length

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
  • Current certifications required in-hand: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
  • Minimum of one year of recent acute care experience required
  • Minimum of one year of experience in telemetry or related specialty within the last two years required
  • EPIC EMR experience required and must be reflected in work history
  • Two supervisor references required for consideration
  • Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are not considered for this position
  • Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
  • Previous permanent staff must have been separated for a minimum of one year to return as a traveler
  • No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of seven days of RTO preferred per 13-week contract
  • Screenshot confirmation of requested RTO required when applying
  • Hiring manager may or may not conduct an interview prior to placement
