Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Telemetry with prior travel nursing experience and Epic charting proficiency for a fast-paced telemetry unit.

Details

• Telemetry unit setting supporting a patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours), 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Requires working 4 weekend shifts (2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays) over a 6-week period, plus 3 Mondays and 3 Fridays
• Potential to float between Edgewood and Florence campuses and to Observation, MS, or MS Tele units as needed
• Supports ED boarder patients awaiting inpatient beds, with floating to observation units when patient volume is low
• Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1.5 years of telemetry nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with pre/post cardiac cath care and managing ports required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Natural, unpolished-length fingernails required (less than 1/4 inch) for direct patient care

Additional Information

• Provide cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response as part of unit responsibilities
• Support ED boarder patients and float to observation units as census requires
• No RTO permitted from 12/15/2026 through 1/5/2027
• Start dates limited to 10/5 or 10/12 only
• Strict no-call policy in place
• COVID vaccination required (medical or religious exemptions only); flu vaccination also required
• Navy blue scrubs required with no visible agency or brand logos
• No nose rings or gauged earrings permitted
• No on-site cafeteria; refrigerator and microwave available
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Local candidates within 75 miles accepted
• Must be away from full-time, part-time, or per diem employment with the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
