Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Missouri
• At least 1 year of recent telemetry nursing or acute-care nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills
• Experience caring for patients requiring cardiac monitoring and vasoactive drips
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate nursing care in a fast-paced team environment
• Positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to float to medical-surgical units as needed

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult telemetry patients throughout their hospitalization
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Perform thorough nursing assessments, administer medications, and manage vasoactive infusions according to established protocols
• Provide care involving BiPAP, heated high-flow nasal cannula, IV infusion pumps, and enteral feeding pumps
• Assist with central line and PICC line care and related procedures
• Complete accurate electronic health record documentation in Meditech
• Participate in bedside shift report, hourly rounding, and daily leadership rounds
• Collaborate with providers, support staff, patients, and families to promote safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Float to medical-surgical units when assigned and maintain consistent standards of care
