Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Compact nursing license required at submission
• At least 1 year of RN experience required
• Neuro nursing experience required
• Telemetry nursing experience preferred
• Comfort working with the NIH Stroke Scale and post-surgical neurology patients
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
• Strong critical thinking, teamwork, and adaptability skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to neuroscience, neurology, neurosurgical, and telemetry patients
• Perform detailed neurological assessments and monitor for changes in patient condition
• Track telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to dysrhythmias or other clinical changes
• Care for post-operative neurology patients and patients with a variety of neurological diagnoses
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, coordinated care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in Epic
• Support unit flow and meet assignment needs, including floating when required
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a dynamic acute care environment
