Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN - Telemetry with ACLS certification for an IMC MedSurgical unit caring for high-acuity cardiac and respiratory patients.

Details

• Hospital-based position on the IMC MedSurgical A unit
• Cares for post cardiac cath and post-surgical patients
• Manages patients on high-risk medication drips including cardizem, heparin, nitroglycerin, insulin, ketamine, and lidocaine
• Cares for respiratory patients on NIPPV devices such as BiPAP and AirVo
• 13-week travel assignment, full time
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Performs point of care testing procedures

Requirements

• Active NM RN license or current Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Current ACLS certification from AHA required
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Telemetry and high-acuity patient care experience required

Additional Information

• Coordinates and implements individualized patient care plans based on ongoing assessments
• Performs systematic reassessments to identify patient progress and trends requiring intervention
• Participates in patient and family health education and discharge planning
• Documents timely interventions and evaluates care plan effectiveness
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Returning employees who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for this travel assignment
