Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a 13-week night shift assignment at a Level II teaching hospital, requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience and an active MI RN license.

Details

  • Work in the Telemetry unit of an acute care teaching hospital
  • Care for adult and geriatric patients requiring cardiac telemetry monitoring
  • Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts (6:45pm-7:15am)
  • Required to work every other weekend
  • No floating required outside of scope
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Epic EMR used for documentation, experience preferred

Requirements

  • Active MI RN license required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • ACLS and CPI certifications preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele or Telemetry experience required
  • Prior charge nurse experience preferred
  • Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
  • Experience with IV therapy, central and peripheral line care, and blood product administration preferred
  • Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP and tracheostomy management preferred
  • RTO must be submitted at time of consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide telemetry and medical-surgical nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
  • Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration) and heparin protocols
  • Perform wound care/wound vac management and monitor patients pre/post cardiac catheterization or MI
  • Scrub color requirement: royal blue or white
  • Free parking available on-site
