Travel Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in New Jersey or a valid compact-state license in hand at the time of submission
• At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience in telemetry, medical-surgical, or progressive-care nursing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, med/surg nursing, peripheral line care, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive airway management
• Comfort caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and required floating assignments
• Applicants residing within 50 miles of the assignment location are not eligible

Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care for adult and geriatric telemetry patients
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly identify changes in patient condition
• Interpret dysrhythmias and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to initiate appropriate interventions
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient responses
• Perform focused and comprehensive assessments, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate changes in patient status
• Manage peripheral intravenous lines, oxygen therapy, isolation precautions, and non-invasive airway support
• Coordinate care with providers and support services, including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• Support patient education, discharge planning, and continuity of care
• Float to other appropriate units when needed and contribute to a collaborative healthcare team environment
