Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry Unit position requiring 1 year of travel nursing experience and a FL or compact RN license.

Details

  • Work in a fast-paced, high-acuity 30-bed telemetry unit
  • Manage patient care for pre- and post-cardiac procedures including post heart cath, sheath management, electrophysiology interventions, post pacemaker/ICD implants, cardiac drip titrations, post cardiac ablations, and heart blocks/new dysrhythmia onset
  • Night shift schedule from 18:45-07:15
  • 36-48 hour contracts acceptable
  • Every other weekend required
  • Required holidays discussed during interview

Requirements

  • Active FL or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS certification (AHA) required
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
  • Strong critical thinking, precise clinical skills, and teamwork abilities required
  • Current license and primary source verification (Nursys) within 30 days prior to start required

Additional Information

  • Provide specialized cardiac and telemetry nursing care within a collaborative, team-based unit
  • Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates but at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility
  • Candidates should begin discussing contract extensions with their manager approximately 45 days before the assignment end date
