Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift contract requiring at least one prior travel assignment and 2+ years of recent acute care experience.

Details

  • Hospital-based Telemetry unit
  • Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call requirement
  • First to float to like units
  • Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (BLS must be American Heart or American Red Cross)
  • 2+ most recent years of experience in an acute care hospital setting
  • Minimum of 1 completed travel assignment required
  • Epic EMR proficiency required
  • Date of birth required for consideration
  • 2 professional references required, with 1 from most recent travel assignment

Additional Information

  • Provide telemetry nursing care within an acute care hospital setting
  • Holiday coverage required (1-2 holidays during contract)
  • RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for this 8-week contract
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • Returning permanent or per diem staff must be separated for at least 12 months before being submitted as a traveler
  • Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
  • Must reside within a 50-mile radius
  • Candidates may be required to complete an on-site EKG test during orientation, with a study guide provided in advance
  • A brief interview (10-15 minutes) with the hospital is required as part of the hiring process
