Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring EKG proficiency and prior travel nursing experience, working night shifts in Glenview, IL.

Details

  • MS/Tele unit caring for boarded patients in the ED (not ED patients)
  • Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • 8-week contract
  • Every-other weekend requirement
  • Holiday coverage required as needed (1-2 holidays during contract)
  • Floating required to other MS units when not needed in the ED
  • No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license required
  • BLS certification (American Heart or American Red Cross only)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required, 4+ years preferred
  • EKG test passage required prior to submission (Relias EKG test, 80% or higher)
  • On-site EKG test required on Day 1 of orientation (pass/fail)
  • Prior travel nursing experience required with at least 1 completed travel assignment
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • New graduates not accepted
  • Date of birth required for consideration
  • 2 professional references required, with 1 reference from the most recent travel assignment

Additional Information

  • Provide telemetry nursing care to boarded ED patients and float to MS units as needed
  • Facility conducts a 10-15 minute interview as part of the hiring process
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate within a 50-mile radius
  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
  • Returning permanent or per diem staff must be away for 12 months before being considered as a traveler
  • RTO maximum of 3 days for this 8-week contract
  • Study materials will be provided in advance for the on-site EKG test
