Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry night shift position requiring an active IL license and prior telemetry experience.

Details

  • Hospital-based Telemetry unit setting
  • 12-hour night shift schedule
  • Every other weekend requirement
  • Holiday coverage required as needed
  • First to float to like units as needed
  • No on-call requirements
  • Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred; American Red Cross accepted for BLS)
  • Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required
  • New graduates will not be considered
  • Must pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration
  • Must pass an on-site EKG test on Day 1 of orientation to continue the assignment
  • Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in employment history
  • Two current professional references from a Supervisor, Manager, or Charge Nurse within the relevant unit from the last year required
  • At least one travel reference preferred

Additional Information

  • Provide telemetry nursing care within a hospital setting
  • Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
  • Returning permanent or per diem staff must be separated from the facility for 12 months before being eligible as a travel candidate
  • RTO for 8-week contracts limited to a maximum of 3 days
  • Candidates will participate in a brief onsite interview with the hospital as part of the hiring process
