Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • Hospital-based Telemetry unit setting
  • Day shift, 12-hour shifts starting at 7:00 AM
  • 6-week contract length
  • Required to float first among staff
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active Illinois RN license required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification required (American Heart Association preferred; American Red Cross accepted for BLS)
  • NIHSS certification required
  • Minimum 3 years of Telemetry nursing experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in employment history
  • Pending licenses or certifications not accepted

Additional Information

  • Must work Thanksgiving Day and the Saturday following Thanksgiving
  • Orientation consists of 24 total hours, including 12 non-billable hours across two 12-hour shifts
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate
  • Returning permanent or per diem staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 12 months to be considered as a traveler
  • RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for 8-week contracts
