Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN with a minimum of 1 year of experience and an active PA or Compact RN license for a hospital Telemetry unit.

Details

• Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• 3x12 hour shifts available in both night (18:30-7:00) and day (6:30-19:00) rotations
• Floating within the hospital required as needed
• Floating to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius may be required

Requirements

• Active PA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA only) required
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line blood draws, PICC line management, and peripheral line care preferred
• Experience with blood product administration, wound care/wound vac, and isolation precautions/PPE preferred
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, rapid response, and code team response preferred
• Experience with heparin, insulin, and PCA medication administration preferred
• Two supervisor references preferred

Additional Information

• Care for telemetry patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring
• Must be available to work every other holiday
• Former permanent employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
• Travel pairs may be accommodated based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed
