Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of telemetry nursing experience required
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification or experience required
• Strong understanding of telemetry monitoring, cardiac rhythms, and patient care
• Comfort working with bedside documentation systems and remote telemetry equipment
• Ability to adapt to a 4:1 patient ratio, with flexibility up to 6:1 or 7:1 as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to telemetry patients in a hospital setting
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and support treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Assist with chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis as appropriate
• Document accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Maintain patient safety, follow telemetry monitoring and stroke policies, and uphold unit standards
• Deliver a positive patient experience while supporting a strong team environment
