Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 33-bed Medical Oncology unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Perform patient assessments, hourly rounding on day shift, and 2-hour rounding after 9:00 PM
• Document patient care using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Utilize unit technology including electronic white boards, iPhones with iMobile, and remote telemetry monitoring
• Collaborate with charge RN, CNAs, unit secretary, clinical manager, and director as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Float to other units as needed per facility floating policy (travelers are first to float)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Florida
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Strong patient-first attitude and commitment to compassionate, high-quality care
• Availability to work every other weekend as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Specialty certification in Med-Surg, Palliative Care, or ONS (Oncology Nursing Society)
• Experience with inpatient telemetry monitoring
• Familiarity with oncology nursing practices and chemotherapy administration protocols
