Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
- 1+ year of telemetry nursing or medical-surgical nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience with Epic charting preferred
- Strong telemetry, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and med/surg clinical skills
- Comfortable caring for adult and geriatric patients in an inpatient hospital setting
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality bedside care as a Telemetry Registered Nurse in a med/surg telemetry unit
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and support treatments according to clinical best practices
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient updates accurately in Epic
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and other members of the care team
- Support safe, efficient patient care while maintaining appropriate patient ratios
- Float to comparable units as needed to support patient care needs
- Deliver compassionate nursing care that promotes comfort, safety, and positive outcomes
