Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• At least 1 year of telemetry nursing experience required
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Strong knowledge of telemetry monitoring, cardiac rhythms, and cardiac patient care
• Comfort working in a fast-paced healthcare environment with changing patient acuity
• Experience with Meditech preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for telemetry patients with varying acuity levels
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
• Support procedures and care needs on the unit, including chest tube-related care and bedside thoracentesis/paracentesis support as needed
• Float to other areas such as Orthopedics or Med-Surg when required
• Maintain a strong focus on patient satisfaction, safety, and teamwork
