Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Telemetry – Tyler, TX 75701
Start Date: September 8, 2026
Location: Tyler, Texas
Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:00), with weekend coverage required (approximately half of weekends per contract). Patient ratio 1:6. Float to units of equal acuity as needed.
Highlights:
- 36-bed Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
- Epic charting system utilized for documentation
- Travel nursing assignment with 91-day contract duration
- Orientation provided with onsite module completion during orientation period
- Opportunity to work with diverse patient populations including adults and geriatrics
- Comprehensive support services including Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, and Interpretation Services
Requirements:
- Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, cardiac care, IV management, and wound care
- Skills required include: cardiac telemetry, central line management, blood product administration, heparin protocols, isolation precautions, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and tracheostomy care
- Must complete core compliance items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
- Geographic restrictions apply; candidates residing in certain local counties are not eligible
