Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Orthopedic Telemetry position requiring med-surg telemetry experience and TX or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Orthopedic Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• 23-bed unit staffed with CNC, RNs, PCTs, and a Unit Secretary
• Patient ratio of 5:1
• Post-operative care for total joint replacement, general surgery, plastics, and gynecological patients
• Uses telemetry, lift equipment, cryotherapy, SCDs, and bedside pulse-oximeters
• Meditech EMR used
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Floating to Surgical Telemetry required
• On-call required during low census periods

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent med-surg telemetry experience required
• Telemetry competency required
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide post-operative and telemetry nursing care to orthopedic and surgical patients
• Team includes CNC, RNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretary support
• Navy scrub attire required
• Best fit for team-oriented, communicative candidates with a positive attitude
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
