Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care on an 18-bed Telemetry unit with a 5:1 RN-to-patient ratio
Perform neurovascular checks on limbs, frequent ambulation, and repositioning
Implement orthopedic precautions and deliver comprehensive pain control management
Monitor and care for a wide variety of patients including trauma, orthopedic, cardiac, neurological, and stroke presentations
Utilize GE wireless telemetry equipment and Welch Allyn vital sign machines within a Meditech EMR environment

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of current acute care Telemetry RN experience
Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
Trauma and/or orthopedic nursing experience
Neuro and/or stroke nursing experience
