Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a telemetry unit, ensuring the well-being and comfort of patients while upholding the highest standards of nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care with compassion and commitment.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and manage telemetry equipment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Document patient assessments and care interventions using the Meditech system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement care plans.
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including floating as needed while following established guidelines.

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses will not be accepted).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a telemetry unit.
• 2+ years of travel nursing experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred.

Dress Code

• Navy scrub top and pants; navy or white scrub jacket.
• Maintain clean and healthy nails.
• Hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors.
• Beards, mustaches, and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed.
• Body art should be covered whenever possible.
• Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited.

Work Schedule

Shift details include working from 7 AM to 7:30 PM or 7 PM to 7:30 AM on a rotating weekend schedule. Guaranteed hours are 36 hours per week.
